Materials for Project
-320 to 600 grit Sandpaper
-Cotton Rags or wiping cloths
-Simple Green- All-Purpose Cleaner (Non-toxic) or
Krud Kutter- Concentrated Cleaner/Degreaser/Stain Remover (Earth Friendly)
Step 1: Clean
Clean your existing furniture with Simple Green or Krud Kutter. This will remove any oils.
Step 2: Sand
Using 400-600 grit Sandpaper, sand your furniture lightly, this will create teething to grab on to the new paint.
Step 3: Wipe
Wipe your furniture after sanding with cotton rags or wiping cloths with Denatured Alcohol, this step cleans the dust from the sanding plus it eliminates some of the surface gloss finish on the furniture ensuring the “grab on” for the new furniture paint job.
